wow, everything has happened so fast! i feel like i’ve aged 10 years in the past 2 week! for those of you who don’t know, our dream is finally coming true! I need a break…and a downpour.

Going through all the changes in my life, with my great-grandmother’s death, in school, and in my own spiritual life, I have found that I have tried to come closer to God and i can’t get there. I drift away. when I say “I need a break.” I mean that I need God to break, humiliate, and hurt me badly. Not that I want those things, but I am so stubborn in my spiritual life that I drift away when I want to be closer to God. I need a downpour too. I need God to break me, and then I need him to pour his spirit on me so much that I don’t want to stop worshiping. you may think that my great-grandmother’s death would have been a break, and after I realized I needed one, in a way it was. But I was pushing God away, refusing the downpour. I need a break…and a downpour.

wow! today was awesome i had so much fun and i could not ask for a better family. as many of the people who will read this know, and have seen the video of me getting my wonderful new laptop! i am so grateful for it and the great family i have! i can’t say that i don’t have enough because i personally know many people that did not get Christmas at all. this made me sad, grateful, and overwhelmed at the same time. we created a new “tradition” today, we went around the table and told what we are thankful for, as my great-grandmother and my uncle said, “every moment is new, you never live the same moment twice” i really think that we should live by that, not judge others by their actions, the things they have, or the way they look. it may be your last thought that goes through your head. or your last moment on Earth. make the most of it. i think people shouldn’t strive to be perfect, they should strive to be the best they can be. christmas makes your true feelings come out doesn’t it? Merry Chrismas! (and happy 2009)
